The Parliamentary Investigative Commission on the situation in PTK and Vala today has failed to review the Kosovo Telecom documentation, because the management of this company has not handed the documentation to this Commission. The chairman of this Visar Ymer Commission said that Telekom Chief Executive Chief Bedri Istrefi has requested additional deadlines for completing all documentation, but even after the additional deadline this management has ignored the Investigative Commission with the argument that documentation is confidential and some subjects are being investigated by the State Prosecutor.

So far we don't have any documentation from the Telekom management. Yesterday was the deadline to send us” documentation, Ymer said, adding that this reluctance by management adds doubts about misuse to Telekom.

While MP Armend Zemaj said this Commission should also send a written letter to Telekom management to hand over documentation for the investigation.

Zemaj said nobody should try to stop the investigation at Telekom.

MP Albulen Haxhiu expressed concern for not co-operating with the Kosovo Assembly.

This shows a responsibility and tendency to stop the investigation into Telekom. Nothing was asked to be confidential. We should follow all legal steps for investigating the situation at Telekom”, Haxhiu said.

MP Milaim Zeka said Telekom Executive Director Bedri Istrefi is treating the Kosovo Assembly as journalists.
