Pensions in Albania rise for 2.8%

The decision adopted at the government meeting stipulates that the index also benefits pensions, which will be assigned from April 1st and following, provided the start date of retirement is the 31st March of this year.

Under that decision, the increase will be for all categories -- for full pensions, partial pensions, reduced pensions and premature retirement pensions, disability pensions, family pensions and service age.

Also, the increase will be in the village's pension categories; pensions for special merits, special state pensions or special state pension extensions.

Financial effects on the implementation of this decision are estimated at 2nd. Four billion dollars.
