A careful look at elections within the Democratic League of Kosovo brings to the fore an important aspect that is taking place.
This is the process of cultural transformation of the LDK.
On the one hand, this transformation process is interesting, attractive and developmental, while on the other side it is complex, multidimensional, and with its monitoring risk.
A phenomenon is becoming observable.
The election race within the LDK, at each level of organization, is going from the period I do not, but I do!
This means that from the collective culture that has dominated the election processes from the beginning, gradually but increasingly clear and intensively, it is moving into the individual culture of the race.
So, from placing the collective role in the first plan, and the individual role in the second plan means the individual who looks around who's most worthy of leadership, while he sees himself as a supporter in his primary role, he's going through the period when he sees himself as leader in primary role, and others in the role of supporters.
To be clear: all of this is completely okay, and it's especially perfectly legitimate.
And also, always standing in the constructive framework of developments, this can be understood and interpreted in another way: the individualistic culture expressed intends to work for the interests of others, but by accomplishing this through ambition to come to the governing role first, and then through elected teams and supporters to address issues of interest to followers (electorate), and in the wider context for citizens.
It is peaceful to say which culture, collective or individualist, is better than the other. Because these are often connected or connected, and especially if they are in the service of the followers (and citizens) and fulfill their interests, then things are okay.
Also, it is the normal course of transformation for an organisation like the LDK, operating for three decades, and especially given overall changes and transformations in political and social culture in Kosovo in general.
But to be all right, in terms of all that was said above, anyone (Secilla and everyone) who is aiming for leadership post has to have some more aspects in mind, and to apply with precise and highest conscience.
It is of essential importance, which is irreplaceable and necessarily: democratic and participating procedures should be guided by the goals and principles of meritocracy, which essentially have the right principle in the right place, which is achieved through the full implementation of the standards that regulate these procedures.
All in the end, anyone who is part of the election process must manifest the ability to understand a fundamental individual and human concept: self-awareness (vettes)
This means that each and every one make a real assessment of their abilities and shortcomings, and that I give the individual contribution to the whole process. This is not the easiest thing, but development in individualistic culture begins when the individual makes real self - esteem.
I mean, this is the right path, at this moment, that would ensure the process of effective cultural transformation needed by the Democratic League of Kosovo, and of European Kosovo in general as the following effect.
