The Alliance for Serbia, as the protest organiser, has invited citizens from all over Serbia to take part in the protest. Security measures in Serbia's Parliament building have been added, meanwhile.
Protesters are expected to gather in front of the Government building, then proceed before Serbia's Parliament, New Party Chairman Zoran Zivovic has said, broadcast rap.
Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said he will be at work on protest day.
Democratic Party Deputy Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman Balsa Bozovic has said that since the early hours of the morning, police forces are keeping the building of Serbia's Parliament surrounded.
The “Police are located inside the Parliament building and are not allowing the free movement of deputies”, Bozovic said.
Serbia's Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said police are inside the building to prevent “if someone tries to burn it or steal the paintings and furniture inside it, as well as to protect MPs and workers inside the” building.
In another Twitter post, Minister Stefanovic said that “if someone tries to attack state institutions as he does RTS, it won't be done by”.
Since December last year, protests are under way in Serbia to challenge Vuciqi's autocratic rule and restrict media freedom.
Last month, a group of protesters had entered the public broadcaster building, RTS requesting permission to submit their demands. However, the police had managed to get them out of the building.
