Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj says that to get the country into the election, the terms must be “ ”.
According to him, it also depends on the work Kosovo Government does, but Limaj during the interview for Kosovo The KP, estimates that the latter is currently doing its jobs.
The choices come when the conditions are ripe. Of course by rules is usually with legal deadlines, every four years there are choices. But that's not fixed, it always depends on developments. Overall developments in the country, developments from the government's functioning, from the work the Government of Kosovo does from its duties. Practically, conditions must be created if there is a need for elections, for now the Government is doing its jobs”, Limaj has said.
However, Limaj does not rule out the possibility of elections. According to him, Kosovo has tradition of going to elections yet without completing its mandate.
It's not exactly the possibility that could happen in the future. The political process is alive and depends on how it works, works to function and continue governance, or when the government is not working properly, then elections should be given. This has always happened in Kosovo in the past, and for more, Kosovo has a tradition that has no problem going to elections, like other countries around it. After Kosovo's declaration of independence, no government has completed the mandate in its entirety, because conditions are ripe and it is estimated to go to the elections”, he said.
Despite that, Limaj says there is no signal for the country to go to the polls for now.
As for the opposition statements, for the collapse of the Government, Limaj calls such demands normal, even says their suggestions take them very seriously. As for possible coalitions and red lines, Limaj says it is early to speak.
What we give weight to is unity, cooperation in the service of changing situation. So in this direction we believe with all political forces we can find the language of communication and co-operation, and while for future partnerships it is now early to speak”, Limaj has said.
The head of the Initiative during this interview has confirmed that governance in the coalition is facing difficulties, and in order for it to function as it should be maintained.
“is not easy to govern the coalition. Of course, there are always difficulties, and I wouldn't be honest if I said there's no difficulty in functioning the coalition, taking into account the goals. You know we also have different programs, we've agreed to build a government program. Because we discern, we are three different political groups and the effort in the coalition is that you have to work hard, negotiate, and negotiate to build common positions or to bring up attitudes. So far it is not that there have been no difficulties, but the coalition has worked. What I usually appreciate is that no coalition and partnership can function if it is not maintained every day”, Limaj said.
