Kosovo continues to be the poorest Southeast European country where 34 per cent of the population live in extreme poverty with daily income below 1.55 euros, and 12 per cent live in extreme poverty.
This is best shown by the Labour and Social Management Ministry data, under which some 25 thousand families are part of a social aid scheme.
According to the director of the Department for Social and Family Affairs, Mentor Morina, most social assistance requirements are from the municipality of Mitrovica. He says he's trying to make the second category of social scheme possible employment
That the economic-Social situation is not good is said by economic connoisseurs.
According to legal and underground acts to realise the right to social assistance of all family members must be citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, except for foreign citizens who have residence permits.
