KEDS: We have magic wand for Ferizaj villages that are breaking down

Frequent power cuts, which last for days, have reached out to residents of the villages of Mirosal, Soeva, Zottar, Old Villages and Bibai, who, by not enduring this situation, have decided to address all institutions in the country, suggesting the unbearable situation they are facing almost every day.
Xhevat Sallah, the resident of the Zlatar village, said they filed a complaint yesterday in the Kosovo Assembly and in several other high institutions through which they have asked them to become a solution, interventing the electricity network. Otherwise, residents will start out with protests, blocking major roads.

“We have sent a complaint to central-level institutions that contain our concerns and our current demands for investments. KED, I have to invest in the high-voltage network, which before the war we've had 4 trafos, and now we have 30 trafos, which means that the high-tensity network has to go through 20 kV, because it can't afford and after a slight era we don't have electricity for days. This situation is very serious, even for businesses that are about 120 businesses. The main requirement is to have investments in the high blood pressure and low, and no more of this. On April 10th, we have remained 42 hours without electricity” Saun said.

Senior KED officials, who today had come to Ferizaj not to fix the rural network in trouble but to plant peace trees, said this company has already invested a lot in Ferizaj and in these 5 villages. They claimed KEDS does not have a magic wand to perform miracles in record terms.

For decades no one has invested in that part. We've already started massive investments in the city and in the villages, but we don't have the magic wand that all matters are working out for six years. Even in that section, we've been building the network, and during that time we're going to work on network reinforcement, and in the future, we're going to do the necessary repairs. It's a process that will be addressed, we certainly have the priorities of the company and the priority for us is the biggest number of consumers and the worst situation. Of course, that part will come in order. We cannot say today or tomorrow, it is under way and it will be invested there. I said even earlier, there was investments there, but there will be the following time in a short time and we will enter with investments there too, at a rather distant time” ECDS spokesman Viktor Buzhala said.
