Jasharaj exposes and criticises KMDLJA: That's why we missed our meeting with August

The Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture today launched half a meeting that it was holding with August, regarding the decision to compensate for missing classes during the strike. The KMDLNJ came out with a communique that the SBASK left the hall only because their leader was compared with that of a municipal director. [...]
He during this interview shows that they will not waver from their attitude. While Criticising KMDLJA to protect all categories equally.
Jasharaj has also warned other strikes in case of any pressure. And on the verdict of the Court, he said they'd accept it anyway.
Periscope: Mr. Jasharaj, why did the SBASKU leave today's meeting with Augusta in the middle of replacing missing classes during the strike?
Rifman Jasharaj: No, we missed the meeting after the meeting didn't bring anything new. The minister insisted that all hours lost on strike be replaced. He once said that he would withdraw the decision and try to find a solution or a different version together. He insisted on it. Some of the education directors, especially this Obilics, began to declare the strike now that it was supposedly illegal. Which we rejected. And then even our representatives were seen many minutes of discussion while others were not. And looking at this atmosphere, seeing that the minister didn't get very tired of the SBASK stand, this publicized attitude... And we've also talked to Deputy Minister Geci and the leadership of directors. Seeing that they don't want to hear about our proposal, which concerns the Steering Council's decision, we will invite Kosovo's teachers, who work with fifth grade, teachers and health psychologists for the Kosovo Parliament, as the day calls an extraordinary afternoon session, to be called and voted the Law. To match these, colleagues working in low-school schools, and we're going to do everything with teachers to extend our school year for a week. This was not allowed to be discussed.
Periscope: The KMDLNJ came up with a reaction that the reason you left the meeting was to compare a director's pay to yours. What is the truth?
Rashman Jasharaj: The minister was classed to replace all the hours and we saw that no discussion would change that it would be excessive and not create additional tensions at that meeting, we dropped the meeting. Not because someone said something about me or someone else. But seeing that we were invited for nothing because the minister is now insisting with the directors not to make any other decision, because the decision they made and we rightly oppose him... he has lost value because five Saturdays, spring break and five days at the end of the year. These Saturdays and spring break are gone, and I'm saying that the minister and a small part of the directors weren't inclined to negotiate and work the way they promised us to do the force together so that the signatures would be collected and this correction of the coffients for our colleagues.
Periscope: KMDLNJ, as the mediator of the meeting, called for changing the Law on Strikes. How do you see it?
Rifman Jasharaj: We criticized Mr. Behgjet a little bit because he's for protecting human rights and freedoms. Of this Kosovo, we are the teachers, and I'm saying that such demands have been made ahead of us to change the Law on Greva. But it would have to be a symbol of human rights protection. He told us that I've always been for the union's right to strike. But there's something to do now for children's rights. We don't violate children's right to education, because Monday, Friday, and Friday, our teachers' work week is with the kids. But we are not accepting the compensation of the hours because it is not legal, and if we accept you as my ancestors have admitted, then the value of the strike will be greatly dim, for people will ask: Why do we strike when it's definitely supposed to be replaced hours lost on strike. Institutions if we were to learn this way, they would leave us for weeks on strike, saying that they get tired and then have to replace the hours. I'm saying, once and for all, we have to close this practice of compensation hours and I said, it's better to get a little damaged this school year than constantly getting strikes and injuries in the next school years.
Periscope: Mr. Jasharaj, no deal has been reached today. What happens next?
Rifman Jasharaj: I am obliged along with the chairmanship to implement the decision of the Steering Council and the heads of municipal levels. The decision is clear and public. We said: Let's join forces and talk to the MPs. The minister is easier off than he is from the Initiative, and his party deputies are in parliament. With the signatures collected, let the case rise, and the MPs vote to make this correction, improve the coeficients, and we will engage and have permission of our teaching colleagues to extend the school year for a week. If that doesn't happen, there's no compensation for hours.
Periscope: Will there be other strikes this year?
Rifman Jasharaj: We strikes have warned them whether in our municipalities there may be obvious pressures that would directly affect teachers. Threats and others. We would have announced strike. So far, we haven't had such pressures. We've had the pressures you need to go to the extra hours... But if the pressure escalates and is taken in any evental measures against our colleagues, then we'll strike and we'll also announce the European Unions Committee, but also the World Unions Committee, where we're members.
Periscope: What do you expect from the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the indictment you filed for the decision about replacing lost hours?
Rifman Jasharaj: The court has not yet announced the verdict. But it has to happen soon. Keep the hearing and bring the verdict. We've said it publicly, and I'm telling you which decision that is, the Court, we will respect it. But in public we're going to say it's not fair, but it's because the Court has decided and we're going to do it.
