Hoxha in Paris: We Need EU Support for Visas

European Integration Minister Litera Hoxha, in a discussion organised in Paris on the subject “Kosovo 20 years after the war and its European perspective”, has said the Kosovo state has noted progress in meeting the criteria for visa liberalisation. According to her, Kosovo remains committed to improving the results in fighting organised crime and corruption.

“We are clear where we are going, she added, but we need support and a constructive approach on the part of the EU, since our vision for the future is closely linked to our membership in the EU”, she said, becomes known through a media report.

Hoxha, among other things, has said visa liberalisation would affect economic, cultural and educational development, especially expanding opportunities for young people.

Regarding recent developments in the country, she has noted that Kosovo has proved to be an example of co-operation, promotion of good neighbourly relations, a factor of peace and stability in the region and beyond.
