The Albanian freedom fighters, of all times, up to the KLA, are our saints and our own history. They are the cornerstones of this common house, for centuries we've been trying to take the climax, and over the flag of Gjergj Kastriot, the national hero who was and continues to remain the unifying spirit of people and provinces, as well as our holy spirit that connects us forever to the West, yesterday, today and tomorrow”, so said the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, in his speech, in his footnote to the 108th anniversary of the Motherly Prohibing of Mal, invited by the Catholic Community, St. Paul, in Detroit, United States.
Before numerous attendees, Prime Minister Haradinaj said he today feels extremely honored to share this time, saying that the co-chairment of Malta was the continuation of anti-strong uprisings in Kosovo, 1908-1910, and preceded the establishment of the flag in Vlora from Ismail Kemal Vlora and the proclamation of the Albanian state's independence in 1912.
Now is the Day of Dede Jode Flag, Luli”, the Great Mountain Strateg, April 6, 11th, when Hoti's warriors conquered the summit of Bratilla and Nike Gellosh Luli raised the red and black flag near the top of Dechich. I am with you today, as Albanian and to honor the symbol of tradition to be together, in prayer and celebration and for respect to the divine, in the words of St. Paul Apostul “... from Jerusalem and around divided to Ilir”, the more so when these prayers are made Albanian and for Albanian”, he added.
Among other things, Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that unique interreligious tolerance in Albanians and solidarity were and remained exemplary standards and dominant way of life between people and communities of the entire modern world, and this proves that Christian and Muslim Albanians are identified and proud of Saint Mother Teresa.
In honour of this date and the entire historic journey of the Albanian people for freedom and, in honour of the US's role and contribution on this same road, Prime Minister Haradinaj will hold meetings with numerous representatives of Albanian-American organisations and other personalities who have contributed in this direction.
Prime Minister Haradinaj will also have meetings with representatives of the Albanian Catholic community in America and Detroit authorities. During this visit, Prime Minister Haradinaj will meet with other US officials.
