Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has returned to clashes with Brussels officials on the anniversary of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement. He has done so after European Union Office chief Natalia Apostolova has reiterated to him the 100 per cent tax removal requirement for goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Haradinaj is not dealing with Apostolvan, but with its chief in Brussels, Federica Moghrini, who has charged that dialogue about borders has damaged the contractual relationship between Kosovo and the EU.
EU representative Apostolova has invited institutions to shake mind and show commitment to meeting obligations, Koha Ditore writes today.
There are unfortunately decisions against Stabilisation and Association Agreement pledges. It is the tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. As we have stated, the 100 percent tariff is not only a violation of CEFTA, but also against the spirit of the SAA”, Apostolova said at the table organised by the Institute “Epic”, where the report on Kosovo's obligations and benefits under the SAA was released. Apostolova has mentioned other consequences of keeping the tax in force.
“will weaken the competitive path and make Kosovo less attractive for investments. Every trade barrier is against the spirit of the SAA”, added Apostolova.
