Haradinaj: We welcome criticism, but we are not the government that mourns

Prime Minister Haradinaj said the government strategy for co-operation with civil society 2019-2023 is linked to the Government Programme of the Republic of Kosovo 2017-2021 and is aimed at continuing regular communication with civil society and other partners.
“With this strategy we aim to increase co-operation and achieve four strategic goals; increase the participation of civil society in policy making, increase accountability and transparency in public financing for civil society, develop practices and procedures for contracting civil society for providing public services, and promote and promote volunteerism in public interest programmes”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said, adding that we should be proud because, according to the World Bank's policymaking indicators, Kosovo is ranked first among Western Balkan countries in the political process of Government.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said that to continue this successful job, at the recent meeting of the Government has been made the decision to establish the Government's Council for Co-operation with Civil Society, which will not only have mandated implementation of the Strategy, but will be the main mechanism, which will co-ordinate the whole process of government co-operation with civil society.
In this case, Prime Minister Haradinaj has secured his and Government support for the support of the prime minister's Office for Good Governance, with the aim of implementing the Strategy as efficient as possible.
The government has also pledged and secured the budget for objectives, the action plan and for the actual development of the work in implementing the” strategy, Prime Minister Haradinaj said, stressing that despite the achieved, we always have a lot of work to do, so that these goals are set in this strategy to be realised.
Prime Minister Haradinaj thanked donors, saying that in addition to our programme, there is a huge evolution of partners, donors, EU countries, America, for supporting all these years and continuing to give for civil society in Kosovo.
Natalia Apostolova, chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, estimated that the launch of the Strategy is an important day, saying the strategy is an important commitment to a comprehensive dialogue between the Government and civil society organisations.
The director of the Office for Good Governance of the Prime Minister's Office, Habit Hajredini, said it is an important joint document between Government and Civil Society, which aims to strengthen dialogue between the government and civil society.
In launching the government's Strategy for Co-operation with Civil Society, Taulant Hoxha, representative of CaviKos, and Diana Berisha, representative of the Civil Society Source Centre, agreed.
In the closing address to Prime Minister Haradinaj, he said they welcome criticism from civil society, but stressed that this is not the government that mourns, but it is Government that faces all of this country's problems.
