CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has told of Koha.net that apart from The PDK and the VV, the turnout application for this election, has been accepted by the Serbian List.
We recently accepted the application of the third political subject to be certified for participation in the May 19th extraordinary elections in the four municipalities. The Serbian List has submitted application for mayoral elections in these municipalities. The deadline for applying political subjects that want to be certified for participation in this election closes tonight (18 April) at 24:00x1>, he said.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, on 8 April, has made the decision to hold extraordinary elections in the four northern municipalities, which will be held 19 May.
Koha Ditore had reported that two days after announcing the date for extraordinary elections, representatives of the Serbian List have travelled to Belgrade. Whether they will turn to ballot boxes or not would be decided at this meeting.
The four mayors of these municipalities, on November 27, 2018, resigned, rejecting the government's decision to impose a 100% tax on products imported from Serbia.
All four municipalities north of the country are led by the Serbian List.
