Commission members have approved political office recommendations for candidates of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and Vetevendosje Movement, but not those for the Serbian List political subject.
The candidacy of former mayors in the country's north for the May 19th elections has made it difficult to certify them in the CEC.
Although the political office recommended names proposed by the Serbian List, and said they are consistent with legal regulations, their certificates were not achieved due to objections by CEC member Adnan Rrustemi.
According to him, their resignation five months ago and the reasons for the resignation by rejecting the decisions of Kosovo institutions cause them to lose the constitutional right to be a candidate.
While Florian Dashi, a member of the CEC, said that since recommendations have been issued from the office and there is no legal obstacle to their candidacy, the process must continue by respecting the law for general and local elections.
CEC Chairman Valdete Daka called on to back political assessments and implement the election law.
After an hour of discussion, the commission was released for a pause, warned for 10 minutes but lasted more than an hour, and the members did not return to continue the meeting.
The CEC Information Office announced that the meeting will not continue today. After that, Adnan Rrustemi said he does not support the certificate until the Serbian List is distanced from the statements.
Zoran Dodiq, for Zubin Potok Serdjan Gulovic, for Zvecan Vucinja Jankovic and for North Mitrovica Goran Rakiq, has applied to the municipality of Leposaviqi.
While PDK for Leposavic has applied Shacir Hetemi for Zubin Potok Hysen Mehmeti, for Zvecan Ilir Peci and for North Mitrovica, Gonge Chaushi.
The Vetevendosje Movement has applied to the noble Leposaviq Veselin, for Zubin Potok Liridona Hariman, for Zvecan Avdi Peci and for North Mitrovica, Erden Adic.
Otherwise, the CEC today has had to complete the Certificate of political subjects and municipal candidates for the May 19th elections in the north, but the same has the right to extend the deadline, reform rules and laws in force.
