BSPK invites you to protest tomorrow: Don't go to Durres and Dige

For May 1st, protest will be held by the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo(BSPK) with demands for the Koletive Agreement, for minimum wage increases, for pension schemes, as well as health insurance. The workers of the Kosovo Energy Corporation(KEK) will also participate in this protest, but with demands [...]
This protest has confirmed that workers of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) will also participate, but with specific demands, that KEK workers are not involved in the wage law, approve the Kolective Agreement, recognition of the work experience during the 1990s-99s, and recognition of the most professional disease taken in place of work.
Also for International Labour Day, the protest will be held at Han Elez by the Council for Protection of Workers' Rights and Actionary Society of the four national shareholder factories “Sharri”
BSPK Chairman Avni Aydin says that in the May 1st protest, the requirements for security and health at work will be addressed, because the number of victims in the workplace is steadily increasing.
Aydin says the private sector is a serious problem, and the government with its inspectorate should seriously commit to the issue.
“As a primary requirement will be the signing of the Kolektive Agreement, minimum wage, pension schemes and health insurance. Of course there are other demands. One also demands employment, requiring pensioners to raise pensions according to their contributions. Pensioners will be paid according to contributions. Not for example, the worker for three days left with 90 euros, or the graduate professor left with 90 euros like the one who didn't work at all... (70) Employers who do not comply with the construction rules and workplace safety for workers should close businesses”, Aydin says.
The BSPK chairman has called on workers to participate in the one-hour protest and then celebrate in Germi and in coastal countries.
After we have extremely serious problems, the protest is for workers' rights, but I have a message for all workers to come up in the “Under Teresa Square. There will be protests at the National Theatre 45 minutes or an hour of workers, of course they will come with their messages, and we too have prepared the messages, which we will convey to the government for the realisation of workers' rights. After the protests are held, then I want good roads for Durres and Vlora, Germi.
But, responsible and primary of them is to ask for their rights. Because by asking for their rights, they also raise the family standard and it's for their own good”, Aydini says.
Also on May 1st, on the day of workers, the Parliament of the Central Council for the Protection of Workers' Rights and the National Society “Sharri”, has warned the protest starting at 12: 00 a.m. in front of the cement gate in Han, Elez, in order to challenge the form of illegal privatisation that has been done to the company.
The highest representative of four companies “Cheimeto”, “Salonite”, “Lepenci” and “Silocari”, Xhedin Laci has appealed to all workers of the “plant Sharri” was massically responding to this protest.
According to him, the former AKM, now the AKP and the High Landing Agency are holding these four units of the <x0 plant hostage. Sharri”
Laci said the only requirement is that the “combination Sharri”, the statute turns into a stock society, and a thousand and 100 employees are dismissed by collective violence in 2010, back to work.
Our demands are to return the statute of stock society, our demands are for organised crime to stop, and our factories that are holding them for ten years, which are usurped. - The AKM has now made privatisation. We have no privatization, the case is very specific... Return to the workplace first, but I take the opportunity to at least organised crime, nepotism to leave, and our factories, the Supreme Court's Special Chamber, not judge workers in individual form, but deal directly with organised crime”, Laci said.
The deputy head of the New Kosovo Energy Corporation (SR-KEK), Nexhat Llumnica, tells Kosovapress that their main requirement is that the Kosovo Energy Corporation is not in the wage law, to approve the Kolektive Agreement, recognition of the 90-99 experience, and recognition of the most professional disease taken for work, respectively.
We will not protest in Obilic, but we have protest together with BSPK, but each branch has special demands. So, from 11:00 on 1 May, I invite not only KEK workers, but all citizens without jobs and workers to express without our satisfaction regarding the rights of workers in Kosovo”, Llumnica says.
While the prime minister's adviser, Haki Shatri, says it is fair for workers to protest and come up with their demands, which will then be reviewed by the government.
Shatri says the issue of employment and social problems, and all issues related to welfare or increased population welfare, will be addressed in the context of creating conditions for more dynamic development, as a year of the economy, proclaimed by the prime minister.
“are eligible to hold protests, make demands, then Government, institutions appreciate those demands... They're asking for minimum wage, we're waiting for a social Economic Council- The government has responsibility for decisions, their consequences that can happen to the country's economy and social flows... Increasing employment, eliminating the problem of unemployment and social problems, and all issues related to well-being or increasing population well-being will now find solutions with creating more dynamic economic growth conditions. We have current problems with the social structure of the population, so with the high unemployment rate”, Shatri says.
Otherwise, construction sector workers are the most endangered. During the past year, 22 people have lost their lives in the workplace, while 104 people have suffered severe injuries. This phenomenon is also on the rise in 2019.
