Authorities in the US town of Baltimore have reported an attack on one of the city's most frequent roads, leaving one person and seven injured, U reports. SNWS.
An armed man fired a crowd of people who were gathered on Sunday evening on one of the streets of the western city of Baltimore.
Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said the attacker fired at 5:00 local time. Harrison added that the person approached the crowd and began to shoot, describing as “a weak shot, very tragic”. Speaking at the scene, he said the first data makes us think the person shot the crowd without any intention.
This attack comes six months after Harrison came to the head of the city's police department, which you actually promised to make the city safer by pushing deep reforms in the police sector. Baltimore is one of the poorest major cities in the United States, where the number of homeless increases to 300 people each year.
The commissioner said there have been two rallyings on that road, while bullets were found in two places, leaving police to suspect there have been two attackers, or the same one fired twice.
The attack took place on the street behind the church, but according to the police, there is no connection between the attackers and the church, nor is it described as an attack of hatred.
Harrison said they're looking for witnesses who were present, so they can better understand what happened.
