One arrested for counterfeiting veteran status certificates

Kosovo police have arrested a suspected L.D. person today. Forging certificates of KLA veteran status.

The arrest occurred after an interview with L.D. and the same prosecutor's decision is sent to the stop for 48 hours.

The case has been initiated by the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crime and Corruption (DHKEK) for suspicion based on criminal activity “falsification of the document” and “masquerade”, which has been addressed and continues to be treated by the Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Pristina.

In connection with the case in 14,03.2019, three people have been arrested, while on the basis of legal authorisation, further investigative action has been required.

Kosovo police are taking ongoing investigative action, as there is reasonable suspicion that there may be other persons involved in the case.
