Year began action 22 days of environmental cleanup

Fellow participants in today's event that started in the city centre, besides the municipality of the Year and the municipal directorates, were also the cleaning company “Higjen”, water company “Hidromeva, Kosovo police, regional police commander Colonel Elmina Mahmuti, representatives of the civil society, KFOR Interconnecting Unit, high school, children's Council staff, village council representatives, the Group of Women's network, etc. The organiser of this action is the Directorate for Urbanism, Planning and Environmental Protection.

At the opening of this action, the chairman of Sokol Haliti's Vita municipality has stressed that Vitia is among the municipalities that have given continued priority to the environmental issue.

Our commitment to a clean environment and verdant space has been proven, and for this we have a city more different and cleaner. Of course, this is also the contribution of those who are supporting us, as is the Lettés do it Kosova '%s' we thank. For 22 days as long as this action lasts, we will have cleaning activities throughout the territory of the municipality of the Year, so I call on citizens and all groups to support this action, as well as contribute to different forms of this action affecting the creation of a clean and healthy environment for citizens”, Mayor Haliti has said.

While representative from the organisation “Let's do it Kosova” Faithful Shabhu, said we have extremely good co-operation with the municipality of the Year and, thanks to that, we have begun implementing environmental projects so that this municipality is an example not only in Kosovo but also abroad.

The environmental cleanup event, for 22 days, will take place in all the villages of this municipality, eliminating wild waste deposits, while urging citizens not to waste, because it is damaging their health and other citizens.
