An 18-year-old has indicted “Apple”, demanding a billion-dollar compensation.
“Ousmane Bah, accuses the facial recognition system that it has wrongly linked it to a series of thefts at American giant” stores, reports “Washington Post”.
Bah was arrested in November and the warrant for arrest held another person's photo. New York Police Department agents concluded that the thief filmed by security cameras in the store was not even near Bah's sight.
Police agents are quoted in the indictment, and it is thought that “Apple” has used its facial recognition technology to identify thieves. /
