The European Parliament Committee voted today by 23 votes per and 11 against the ban on the hour movement that had occurred for decades on annual bases, in spring and autumn, the AP broadcasts.
It remains for MPs to decide what summer or winter hours will be adopted in the future, while in the EU there are changes to which of these two hours should become standard.
Many member states have created a timely change during the oil crisis in the 1970s as an effort to save energy, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
Since 1996, all EU countries have changed the clock at the same time.
The proposal now moves ahead of the European Parliament and the parliaments of the European Union member states.
