Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala has hosted Malta's Foreign and Trade Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela today, where they discussed deepening co-operation and increasing trade exchanges.

Minister Shala stressed that good political and diplomatic relations between the two states will also reflect economically, agreeing to boost trade exchanges between Kosovo and Malta.

Kosovo and Malta have excellent diplomatic relations. Minister Abela and I agreed and vowed that these good relations between the two states in a political way to transform them into commercial terms, and I believe that this meeting will be counted as a good start for our trade relations to have a different level than it is today”, the minister stressed.

MTI Minister Endrit Shala briefed Malta Minister Carmelo Abela on the potential and potential Kosovo offers for foreign investors and on the facilities the Strategic Investment Law offers.

Kosovo's “Republic offers extraordinary opportunities to foreign investors because of many reasons, given the most important that Kosovo has a very innovative and creative youth, as well as favourable taxes and the Strategic Investment Law, which creates facilities for every investor planning investment in our country”, said Minister Shala.

Shala thanked Minister Abela for his contribution to the construction of the state of Kosovo through various stages.

While Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Malta Carmelo Abela said his state would continue supporting the Republic of Kosovo by helping it in terms of economic empowerment and increasing trade exchanges.
