Serbia continues conditioning dialogue with tax removal

Today during the day in Belgrade, EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn -- who sent a clear message to the two countries that there is no reason for blocking dialogue.
However, this advice is not being heard by the Serbian state.
In a later event, Serbian President Alexander Vuciq again spoke of the tax.
He said Kosovo is obliged to remove the tax in compliance with the CEFTA agreement, as well as the Stabilisation and Association agreement.
According to him, Kosovo must allow the free movement of goods and services first of all.
He even reiterated that there will be no dialogue without tax removal.
When they understand this, we can talk about dialog”, Vuciq said.
We remember that imposing the tax on Serbia has cost the latter major economic losses, as it in advance exported a considerable amount of goods to Kosovo.
However, the tax could jeopardise reports with Kosovo's main allies, including the US, who have sought its suspension.
