Sėka Interpol for Kosovo neither this year

Dialogue with Serbia, claims of border correction, as well as the tax imposed on goods on two neighbouring states, according to opposition parties and security connoisseurs, has damaged Kosovo's position in foreign policy circles to join this multilateral police organisation.

The Democratic League of Kosovo considers that Kosovo institutions are failing to convince internationals to show they are serious partners to join Interpol.

This party's MP, Arben Gashi, says the new circumstances created in Kosovo have damaged the lobby process.

Special critics, he has about scandals occurring in the Kosovo Police, according to him, it has damaged the image and will directly affect the way Interpol member states vote.

MP Gashi wants to have a real strategy like approaching this issue, rather than being as he considers disorganized.

Gashi: Have special strategies in how to approach states

Subsured “which states are supporters for our membership in Interpol. What are the cognitive and reluctant states for Kosovo's support in Interpol. Who are the connoisseur states of the Republic of Kosovo and the controversial Interpol membership, and what are the uncharitable and controversial states of Kosovo's membership in Interpol. There may be non-connocil states, but that are neutral for Kosovo's membership in Interpol. For each category of states to have specific strategies in the way they approach, not so much as they did last time. Unorganisedly disoriented and damaging Kosovo in terms of international subjectivity”, Gashi says.

The other opposition party, the Vetevendosje Movement, expresses sceptical that this year Kosovo will join Interpol.

The MP from the ranks of this party, Victory Pacolli, tells Kosovo that compared to last year the Kosovo situation in international relations is much worse, especially as President Hashim Thaci's initiative for border correction.

Citing last year's failure, she says that if it continues at this rate it should not succeed.

Pacolli: In international relations Kosovo is very bad for now.

“compared to last time, now the situation of Kosovo in the world, in our international relations with states abroad is much worse, especially considering this initiative by President Thaci and Serbia's president, Vucinic for the exchange of territories. And also considering deepening bilateral relations with states abroad. We have been following Japan's support, extremely much, but since the last time Japan didn't have their support... we have to see, if it continues at this rate it doesn't seem to succeed, because we are seeing that in international relations Kosovo is very bad for now. With this minister of foreign affairs and this government and with this president, we are in a very unfavourable situation”, Pacolli declares.

While security expert Nuredin Ibishi says the main focus should be on lobbieing into the big states that have recognised Kosovo, as he says, to be able to lobby on others.

Ibishi has criticism and a frequent shift in interior affairs ministers, claiming that this endangers Kosovo's membership in Interpol.

Ibishi: This year we have to lobby differently

We failed last year because of the lack of lobes, I hope that this year we will lobby differently and be more present in those countries that actually have the best reports... we don't get into this round of elections for Interpol with a priority because of what you said earlier. So all of what's really, really, the objections or the jams in dialogue, but other internal approaches that don't fit in together. But no matter what we have to be there, we have to lobby to be much closer and not fail like last time... this is unprecedented, within a legislature still half of the legislature to replace three interior ministers, has lost all contact with what is worked on in terms of security policies”, says security connoisseur, Nuredin Ibishi.

Foreign Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials have been sound for Kosova Prees, despite the insistence on declaring it.

By contrast, last year Kosovo has failed to join Interpol, while weeks ago government officials have confirmed that and this year will apply in hopes that this year they will be the youngest member of this international police organisation.
