Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry has declared that it has stripped Hamza bin Laden of citizenship, son of the group's former member “Al Qaeda”, Osama bin Laden.
The decision to withdraw his citizenship from the largest Arab Peninsula country comes just a day after the US State Department announced it would provide up to $1m in return for those helping find it. The United States believes it is one of the leading leaders of the notorious group.
According to the “Brookings” institute, Hamza, who is believed to be about 30 years old, had stayed with his father before the September 11th 2001 attacks and during his stay in Pakistan after the American forces' entry forced the leaders of the group to leave the country.
The State Department had declared in 2017 that Hamza bin Laden has called for terrorist attacks in capitals of Western countries and has threatened to retaliate against the United States for killing his father.
He has also threatened to attack Americans in various countries and has called for Saudi tribes to join the “Al Qaeda” group on the Arabian Peninsula to fight Saudi Arabia, writes “Reuters”.
