A Russian defence official was on the plane and nearly 100 troops, according to a local journalist, Klan Kosova reports.
This happens along the strengthening of ties between Karaka and Moscow.
A Web site following flights showed that two planes left a Russian military airport for Caracas on Friday and another website showed that a plane la Caracas on Sunday, Reuters writes.
The report comes three months later that the two states held military maneuvers on Venezuelan territory, which President Nicolas Maduro has dubbed proof of strengthening reports, but which Washington has criticised as Russian penetration in the region.
Journalist Javier Mayorca wrote in “Twitter” that the first plane was with Vasily Tonkoshkurov, chief of staff of foot forces, and that the second was a aircraft carrying 35 tons of equipment.
It has not been known, however, why the planes had come to Venezuela.
