Belgrade police chief Milan Stanic urged Serbian opposition leaders to leave the RTS building and said he has received orders from Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic to be expelled from the building.
Stefanovic addressed the public, saying the gatherings are allowed, “but not damaging property or causing fear”.
“State will have to respond and anyone who committed violence in RTS will respond. I call on everyone who broke into RTS to disperse peacefully. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and police will do anything to protect RTS journalists. I Call on the Alliance for Serbia (v.j. The opposition bloc) to prevent violence and all who entered, to leave the RTS building”, Stefanovic said.
One of the leaders of the opposition bloc Alliance for Serbia, Bosko Obradovic, dismissed Stefanovic's statements, saying there is no violence and that nothing is done against the law.
Antigovernmental protests “One in five million” are held in Belgrade every Saturday since 8 December last year. Meanwhile, they have also been lying in other cities of Serbia.
Speakers in them repeat the main request for the resignation of Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, every week.
