Local police reported that four people were involved in avalanches Sunday morning, near the Bovernier area in Swiss Valasis Canton.
A Swiss skier lost his life after being trapped under a dense blanket about half a meter long, writes Swissinfo, conveys albinfo.ch.
Two others survived avalanches and helped save the fourth person from snow.
He was injured and sent to a helicopter hospital.
