MPs show whether to get early elections

Early elections are being seen by the largest opposition parties, not only as an option for the realisation of their ambitions to take power, but also for increased efficiency and decision-making in Kosovo institutions. While the current ruling coalition, despite internal disagreements over certain issues, is continuing the job, disregarding early elections as option.

Both political tenders give their reasons for supporting one or the other option.

Meanwhile, political analysts say the lack of a consensus on political dialogue with Serbia as political disputes in the country, such as the case with the customs tax for which the political spectrum is divided in thought, whether it should be suspended or not, could lead the country towards the elections.

The election option, for the Democratic Party of Kosovo, is seen as unnecessary and more fleeing from the current political processes.

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Zenun Pajaziti told Radio Free Europe, that all those who fear to take responsibility for Kosovo's fate, for integration dialogue and processes -- whether in power or opposition -- seek refuge in a new election process, which, according to him, is costly and cannot bring clarity.

Meanwhile, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo deputy MP Blerim Kuci, speaking of Radio Free Europe, says the current government has done and is doing, as he says, extraordinary work. Besides being costly for elections, Kuci underlines, would prevent or stop many projects under way.

The two largest opposition parties in Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement, say the current government, led by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, is failing to fulfil the promises given and that, according to them, this Government has neither legitimacy nor legitimacy.

Representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo have said that there is no unity among state leaders in terms of dialogue with Serbia and barriers to Serbian products.

According to the LDK, Kosovo is facing ill-governance and failure in the Euro integration plan.

While MP Arberia Nagavci from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks told Radio Free Europe that the only solution to the current situation is early parliamentary elections.
