But March of this year will be remembered for two.
Even the worst prior sentence on the Kosovo Criminal Code was pronounced twice this month and the one for two crimes committed against women in Kosovo.
Peter Noecaj, who killed his wife and daughter in August 2018, was sentenced to life in prison.
The same amount of punishment was received against Naser Pajasitaj. After turning the case into retrial, he was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of the death of Donjeta Pajasitaj on November 9, 2015.
Organisations dealing with protecting women's rights in Kosovo believe that increasing the level of punishment for these cases has affected public pressure and protests.
According to the Kosovo Women's Network, life imprisonment in these two cases is the right one.
Gzim Shala from the Kosovo Institute for Justice says the same.
Shala says that in these cases the circumstances related to the appointment of type and the height of punishment have been directly analysed.
After the war, on just one occasion, he had been sentenced to life imprisonment, but he was brought down by the Court of Appeals.
The sentence was pronounced in 2015, where the Pristina Constitutional Court had convicted two Kosovo citizens who had committed the macabre murder of a Bosnian Serb national from Novi Pazar. However, the Court of Appeals had rejected the first - degree decision, and the persons sentenced to life in prison sentenced them to 25 years, respectively, 22 years in prison.
