President Meta shared this order on the occasion of solemnity at the 575th anniversary of the Lezha Parliament, the same city “as a sign of appreciation for the precious contribution to the Albanian diaspora to the preservation of national traditions and identity”.
In the presence of Lezha municipality chairman and prominent personalities of Albania, Kosovo and the diaspora, Gashi thanked the president's authority for the split decoration, stressing that this decoration is not for him as a person, but for all those who fought in achieving the ultimate goal of Kosovo independence, and those who are constantly working for the development of the country.
It is a great honor and I share it with the whole diaspora, for sacrifices until the last one who gave their lives for the freedom of Kosovo, and we hope to keep this price with honor and reason on it”, Gashi said.
