KOK complains International Olympic Committee for Serbian Football Federation in Kosovo

The KOK has considered them illegal, since only the Kosovo Football Federation is allowed to organise competitions in the country.

This committee has also called for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecution, Courts and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to take necessary action to prevent such illegal acts.

The parallel football federation in Kosovo has held a session yesterday, where, with the unanimous decision of 30 of the 40 members of the assembly, it is decided that Milan Radoic will be appointed head of this federation.

Radojic is allegedly involved in the murder of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic. Now, he is on the run, as being sought by Kosovo Police.

The Kosovo Olympic Committee's full announcement:

The Kosovo Olympic Committee with great concern has expected illegal action to emerge from Serbian structures, such as the Kosovo election of new parallel organs of the so-called “Serbian Football Forum in Kosovo”.

For the Kosovo Olympic Committee, it is unacceptable that such illegal acts, which are at odds with the Olympic Charter, continue to emerge from Serbian illegal structures, take place on Kosovo territory.

Based on the KOK statue, the Kosovo Olympic Committee recognises only one federation for a sport that organises races on Kosovo's territory and that is the Kosovo Football Federation. As such, any other federation formed in Kosovo is illegal.

Therefore, the Kosovo Olympic Committee, these illegal acts will be reported to the International Olympic Committee, so that the KON will take concrete steps on the Serbian Olympic Committee, the Federation of Football of Serbia, which is interfering with the operation of sports in Kosovo through illegal actions, as well as on international organisations governing football, FIFA's UEFA, in order to prevent illegal sports facilities in Kosovo once and for all.

Similarly, the KOK called on the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutors and Courts, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, to take necessary action under the Law for Sports and other legislation in force to prevent such illegal acts that harm Kosovo sport.

The KOK supports the Kosovo Football Federation, as the only governing body with football in our country and any other legal action outside FFK action, is considered illegal, unacceptable and punishable by us, and as such will have no legal consequences in the Kosovo sport.
