The Ministry of European Integrations, Gift Hoxha, has declared that until after the end of the European Parliament elections, there will be no visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens. She hopes that in June there may be a decision on the issue.
According to Hoxha, EU member states are not optimistic about making any decisions on the issue of visa liberalisation.
“There is still work, which is that there are still jobs in member states that are not yet willing to make a decision before the European Parliament elections are over, so you know we are not only the ones that have shown and that we have consistently declared that conditions, criteria for visa liberalisation have been fulfilled, now we are in the last step we are hoping and are looking for that after the European Parliament's elections a new moment and at the June meeting of the Council of Ministers to have a decision... No one from the European Union state is optimistic that they will be able to move ahead of these elections,<1> Hoxha said.
These comments, the Ministry of European Integrations, Gift Hoxha, made after the meeting he held with Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Fatmir Matosi, with whom they discussed numerous projects financed by European Union funds.
