Haradinaj says no Kosovo institution will violate universal human rights.
He has recalled on Facebook the actions he has taken as the country's prime minister, following the expulsion of Turkish citizens from Kosovo.
Haradinaj's post:
Respecting the competencies defined with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and respecting the ruling legislation of the Republic of Kosovo I have considered vitally important the full lighting of the event of the forced expulsion of Turkish citizens from Kosovo.
To address this situation immediately I have taken institutional measures by dismissing the AKI Director and the Minister of Internal Affairs who had direct responsibility over the case.
With full commitment to clarify institutional responsibilities, possible constitutional and legal avoidances, protection of human rights, and, above all, guaranteeing national security, I have requested investigative reports from the State Chief Prosecutor, Kosovo Police Director General, Chief Inspector of the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence, Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kosovo Police Inspectorate, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Agency of Air Environment Services.
Also in respect to accountability and division of power control, I have responded to the ad-hoc parliamentary Commission's invitation investigating the forced removal of Turkish citizens. I answered their questions and handed them official report on all the executive actions.
The steps taken by the executive are guarantor that in similar situations we will be uncompetitive in implementing Kosovo's laws. Without prejudice, rule of law will be our only way.
Bringing the truth, responsible and legal deviations would help build democracy and human rights. No one is above the law, and no Kosovo institution will violate universal human rights.
