German diplomat, who has been committed to the Balkans through Treshes to find a solution to the Kosovo issue, said the EU must keep its word in Thessaloniki years ago.
“The prospect of membership for countries in the region should be open and we will try to convince French colleagues. Although the French are entitled to say that the EU must first carry out its homework before coming to a situation where there are many member states. We have two goals -- EU enlargement and deepening --” said Ischinger.
