This is the first time Kosovo has participated in this test, which measures the skills of fourth-graders in mathematics and science. The test is expected to be held in 146 Kosovo schools.
The selection of students who will be subject to the test is done by chance through electronic system. August has stressed that they have made adequate preparations for students to show good results. Knowing education issues expects Kosovo to be ranked better this time than in “P ISA 2015”, in which Kosovar students had shown poor results, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MASHT) through a written response has told the paper that the test “TIMSS” is expected to be held from April 22nd to May 10th.
“MANT has made the necessary preparations that have been ahead of this time (convention of selected school co-ordinators, reporting them with the process, selecting classes and so on) and is in the phase of preparation for test management. Schools have been announced over time, where each school has its own coordinator, and every activity is done according to the HINA Order TIMSS%”, says the answer to August.
