The high number of people signing the petition that began late February has made the British Parliament website fall.
The number of signatures has continued to grow further since Prime Minister Theresa May declared that the petition cannot stop the country's departure process from the European Union.
Some skeptics have said that the petition has been hacked and many of the signatures are not real persons.
However, the Commission for Petition has declared that 96% of the signatures come from Great Britain.
According to them, every person who is a resident in Britain has the right to sign the petition, as well as any British national living in another country.
