Biden writes to Thaci: Kosovo is making progress thanks to your contribution, we will always be close to you

The former US vice president wrote that this would be an important achievement.

“You know that my commitment to Kosovo is personal and deep, and I will continue to stay close to all the people of Kosovo, while you fulfill your commitment to a brighter future”, wrote former US vice president Joseph Biden.

This is his full letter to President Thaci:

Dear President Thaci,

I appreciate the opportunity I had to spend time with you at the Munich Security Conference last weekend.

Kosovo has made incredible progress since it gained its independence, largely thanks to your leadership and contributions. However, the country's security, economic perspective and international status must be strengthened and expanded a view that I know you share. A mutually agreed solution with Serbia, leading to the recognition of Kosovo's independence, would be an important achievement and would help achieve all these things. I wish you success in pursuing such a solution.
