Trump warned this on Twitter last week, saying it was time for the US to take this step after 52 years of Israeli control over the strategic plateau on the Syrian border, the AP reported.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a visit to the US this month, has requested such admission.
Israel took Golan from Syria to the Middle East war in 1967.
The United Nations views the heights of Golan, which Israel controls as occupied territory.
