Contacted by A. LAT, there was no answer from this institution as to who has produced the translation of the inscription and whether it will be responsible for the concessions made.
The Macedonian government says they are committed to the precise implementation of language, saying that with the establishment of two institutions responsible for law enforcement, language errors will also be avoided.
The government of the Republic of Macedonia has established two working groups, consisting of representatives of institutions, both for implementation of the Prespa Agreement and for implementation of all obligations stemming from the law for use of languages. The law on the use of clear languages stresses that penalties are set forth for institutions that will not respect this law”, said Muhamet Hoxha, the government's spokesman.
According to university professor Salaydin Saliu, institutions should not rush to change tables, without consolidateing institutions whose foundation is envisioned in the Law on the Use of Languages.
I think everything that becomes wrong is accelerated, and I think we should be very careful, because that certainly creates some kind of reaction in public opinion. I am glad that even the media, which often know how to overindulge, are always very sensitive and play a very positive role. So I believe that, however, before these signs are changed, everywhere you should introduce Albanian and until the institutions that will protect it, it's good to have some kind of cooperation and some kind of professional consultancy and separately with the Quadaves”, said Salaydin Saliu, a university professor.
For failing to comply with the provisions of the law, Article 22 envisions sentences of between 4 and 5 thousand euros for the institution and 30 percent of the value for the institution's director.
The director of the Law Implementation Agency for Language Use has been elected Ylber Sela, while the institution he will lead is expected to be completed with language field experts. The agency will have a budget of 1.7m euros available.
