The last few months and March have both been extremely warm. Many countries are even breaking heat records for March”, says Rick Thoman, specialist at the Alaska Centre for Climate Rating and Policy.
Cities like Wainwright, Nuiqsut, Kaktovi and Barrow, located north of the American state, on the Arctic Circle, can reach a temperature this weekend higher than 14-22 degrees Celsius.
In this region of Alaska, temperatures at this time of year are usually below freezing. / A T S
