Over 20 employees of Albania's diplomatic service leave their positions. So said Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj at an exit to the media.
“Environment for an exclusive diplomatic service has characterised the Ministry for Foreign Affairs Europe's diligent effort over the past five years. Living this ambition remains an open challenge. In these 77 days at the helm of this institution, I have set up a special working group to examine in detail the quality of the human resources of the Albanian diplomatic service”, Cakaj stressed.
Acting Minister Cakaj said that “after this cautious venture today I am with you to share the fact that I have decided to sever relations with a part of employees who do not meet either legal conditions or the minimum professional conditions for carrying out this task and then leave it to support the ambition of this government and the vision of Prime Minister Rama to lead to the merit of Albania's international representation”.
According to him, another part of the employees will be transferred immediately to act and work according to the needs of the work rather than according to the inertia of the past.
“Albania's European challenge and our reformist agenda of overcoming the remaining basin of the past is by no means compatible with nepotism, political clientlorism and moral corruption in any sector and then leaving it in the world's presence”, Cakaj said.
While praising at the same time the new political moment of opening state doors for youths excellent, Cakaj said that “ky is the great advantage that must be used for sure to reinvent our administration's core and contentally, communicate that we have the public call for application for the vacans created by this cleanup wave in our diplomatic service”, broadcast at times.
“Albania is not of anyone's friends, political cousins, or clans and crustaceans, but it is of all indiscriminately and deserves to be represented by the most distinguished working minds, acting with passion and serving with full professional and moral capacity”, Cakaj said.
He also invited all interested in applying to the hot spots in diplomatic service.
“Based on the meaningful example of 373 excellents who have become part of the administration in accordance with the Pact's valid spirit for the University through a transparent and merity process and, above all, in the service of our commitment to radical transformation, I invite all interested ones to apply to the hot spots in diplomatic service”, Cakaj stressed.
He promised that their applications would be addressed with full transparency and appreciation for them would only be on the basis of merit.
