Walker: I hope that final agreement will be good for the people of Kosovo

A lot of people are saying, the European Union, the American Embassy are saying we should have a final agreement with Serbia, but I'm not sure if I agree with this”.

“Things can be broken now, but negotiations must continue, it is a problem that should be resolved with negotiations”.

“If it doesn't work over the next week it will continue” again.

Walker in an exclusive interview in Info Magazine of Kosovo has said he has heard that there is already an agreement between the two Kosovo presidents, Hashim Thaci and his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq.

“I'm not quite sure I understand the current situation, but they tell me there is agreement between the two presidents [Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vuciq]. I've been told they have an agreement that the International Community is very interested in seeing it succeed”.

I don't know if you know all the details of what this agreement involves, but I'm not convinced this is the end of the negotiations process. I am not convinced that the agreement between Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vuciqi will be accepted by everyone here”.

I see that there are many people who have remarks regarding the exchange of” territories.

The former OSCE ambassador to Kosovo has expressed much sceptical that dialogue with Serbia has come to a final point.

“I don't think the end of the process has come, it could be the beginning of the end of this process, but not the end”.

Walker has also said that an agreement with Serbia would fail unless the people of Kosovo accept it.

For me, Kosovars are my “I am not sure that the EU, America, or Russia or all those foreign players are really 100 %s of the same kingdom as the people of Kosovo”.

Whatever agreement is not fully satisfactory then I think it will fail”.

“I hope this agreement is something that the people of Kosovo will really reconcile”.
