The union in the letter to President Thaci says there are discrimination violations in this Law.
We demand that, based on the constitutional competencies you have, this Law be sent back to the Kosovo Assembly for review.
The return of the Law would enable the improvement and advance of the position of academic staff, but also to address, separately, the category of Pristina University administration, which has not been treated as a special category and has not been specified at all in the Law of Salaries”, says the Union's letter.
On paper, the Union says Article 3 of the Law on Salaries has not been respected, envisioning the principle of equal pay for similar work.
e. Otherwise, the Kosovo Assembly on February 2nd, with 62 votes for, none against and 1 abstention has adopted the Law for Salaries in the public sector.
