President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that “is not satisfied with the deal reached for preventing another partial closure of the US government and funding new barriers to the border between the United States and Mexico, but did not say whether to sign the agreement.

Republican leaders in Congress, who negotiated with those Democrats for reaching the agreement, called it a necessary compromise.

Mr. Trump said Tuesday from the White House that he doesn't believe there will be another government closure that would again affect hundreds of thousands of federal employees this weekend. Everything's on the table to discuss, but I'm sure we don't want to close the government”, the president said.

He said he needs to see the deal again, which would provide a lot less than $5.7 billion required by the president for the construction of a long wall on the US border and Mexico.

I can't say I'm happy, the President said, but one way or another, the wall is being built. ”

Republican Chairman of the Senate, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarty in the House of Representatives, said they have won. The deal includes about $1.4 billion to build 88 km of new barriers on the border with Mexico. It also envisions technological improvements for scanning border entry points, as well as increasing the number of customsmen and humanitarian aid.

However, negotiators said the agreement reached is more or less like what Mr. Trump would have secured in December. The aides in Congress discovered details of the agreement on the condition of anonymity, because it is still in principle.
Republicans at the White House were desperate to avoid another government closure that would bring problems.

According to aides in Congress, they reached an agreement in principle Monday evening, for a much smaller fund for building the border wall, rather than the $5.7 billion required by the White House, finding consensus for only $1.4 billion.

Details of the deal may not be made up before Wednesday, but it was achieved on time to ease any risk of a partial closure of the government at the weekend.
White House spokesman Hogan Gidley was reserved in comments. He said: “We wanted to focus on the current document. Without seeing him well, it will be very difficult to talk about what we admit and what we don't.”

The agreement implies a new fence of 88 miles [88 km] long, metal, instead of concrete, but much less than the 345 km, which the White House requested in December. It will be built in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and reflects President's first budgetary bid last winter.

The achieved compromise implies concessions from both sides, left and right lawmakers -- on the one hand construction of another border fence, which many Democrats do not want and on the other, a much smaller fund than he demanded from the conservative republic. But the authors of the deal praised the agreement as a real compromise, which would keep the government open and allow all sides to move forward.
