Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has held a joint conference in Munich with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq. Responding to Vuciqi's statements, Thaci said it is very easy to play the victim's role, but that according to him the whole world knows that Serb forces have committed genocide over the people of Kosovo.
I don't understand what you're protecting today, it's very easy to play the drama or play the victim's drama. History cannot be rewritten, the whole world knows ethnic cleansing is made by the Serbian police and army”, he said.
On the other hand, talking about the agreements reached in Brussels, Thaci said Kosovo and Serbia have reached agreements on Association, but that on the basis of the Constitution.
We've agreed that it should be formed, but only according to the Constitution. The meaning here is that Vuci still does not understand that Kosovo is sovereign and recognised by more than 115 states. I still believe and hope why not, because there is a will to sit down and chat”, he said further.
Thaci further said that those who oppose dialogue are also against peace, and that according to him the two states have expressed the will for an agreement.
The “those opposed to dialogue want to build the wall for peace. We have expressed the will for a final agreement that will ensure Kosovo's accession to international organisations. I invite all states to be unique, we know that the U.S. has sent a letter and are very clear on this issue”, he said.
According to Thaci, for reaching the agreement between the two countries, the model between France and Germany could be taken.
