The car they were traveling with their parents crashed into some trees in Bowie and then ended up in a field.
All the children, aged 5 to 15, were sitting in the back, and none of them wore a seat belt at the time of the accident. This caused children to get out of the vehicle at the moment, finding death.
The driver, 32-year-old Dominice R. Taylor, he lost control of the car around the local 4:30 hour and got out of the way to crash with some trees.
London Dixon, 8, and Paris Dixon, 5, were Taylor's children.
Zion Beard, 14, Rickelle Ricks, 6, and Damari Herald, 15, of Washington, were declared dead at the scene.
Photos from the site show car injuries after the accident. Taylor was sent to the hospital and his condition was unknown.
Cornell D. Simon, 23, from Oxon Hill, is in serious condition for life.
Police are investigating the causes of the event.
There was frost in the road during the accident.
