Thus said in a Post communiqué, where it is stressed that despite efforts of management, board of directors and trade unions of the Post workers to find solutions with Telekom and Government to pay off debts, no concrete results have been achieved, and as a result, Posta has no chance to pay the salaries of over a thousand workers.
Furthermore, if this situation is not overcome, Posta will soon face total paralysis of functioning, the inability to provide any service, respectively. Telekom (Vala) owes the Kosovo Post about half a million euros for the rent of facilities and services Posta holds for Telekom. For this situation, management and Board of Directors have officially announced to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, MZHE Minister Valdrin Luka, Finance Minister Bedri Hamza, and the Telekom Board. Of these institutions, we have called for urgent commitment to pay off debts to the Kosovo Post. Otherwise, it has been years since the management, the Board and Unions of Post Workers have called on the Government of Kosovo, as well as parliamentary relevant commissions to pay off the government's debt to the Post -- over 5m euros -- for covering losses in the univer sal postal service, which is the legal duty of executive”, it is said in communique.
