Tax does not diminish Serbia's goods in Kosovo

Business representatives say that until there is no import from Serbia, but there are products of this country on the Kosovo market, it is suspected that goods from there on the Kosovo market are entering alternative forms or through smuggling. But Kosovo Customs officials deny it.
Serbia, which has been exporting goods worth about 1.2m euros to Kosovo before the tax is imposed daily, now according to Kosovo Customs data, on average exports goods worth about 8 thousand euros.
Kosovo Customs spokesperson Adriatic Stavileci tells Radio Free Europe that there have been several cases of smuggling attempted, but that, as such, are banned by customs officials.
According to him, during these three months there has been no increase in smuggling either in the country's north or other parts of Kosovo.
