American users of this 65-year-old social network have delivered almost seven times more fake news on Facebook than those between the ages of 18 and 29. These results were produced by New York University researchers.
The authors of this study analyzed the account story of 1750 adult Americans, including news spread by false publishers. People over 65 years of age have delivered twice as much false news as those who are part of the second adult group.
