Setting days is difficult. But I am convinced that Venezuela's people will make sure Maduro's days are numbered,” has told Pompeo CNN.
Two people died after Saturday's clashes between civilians and troops loyal to Maduros, who blocked humanitarian aid.
The country's self-declared interim president, Juan Guaido, said Mr. Maduro must resign, translate Periscope.
Guaido further asked other nations to examine “any mass” to bring Maduron down.
Meanwhile, Colombia and Brazil have said they will intensify the pressure on Maduro to give up power. Not even US President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of an armed response to the crisis in Venezuela.
Mr. Guaido last month declared himself acting president, and has since been recognised by more than 50 nations, including Kosovo.
He says irregularities proven in the 2018 elections have delegated the Maduro leadership.
Maduro on the other side, remains supported by economic allies including Russia, Cuba and China. He believes he is the legitimate president. He claims sending aid abroad would pave the way for a military intervention with the US. /Periscope
